See the world while serving as Math and English homeschool teacher for two boys (ages 10 and 8).
A family with two boys, 8 (grade 2) and 10 (grade 4) gifted in Math, would like to hire a homeschool teacher to teach them at home and whenever the family travels. The first language for the boys is English. Both are attending an International School (IB). The older son is gifted and advanced in math, already doing Grade 8 math at home. The younger son is doing Grade 5 Math.
The family requires a math teacher, that can follow the kids' school program and extra work as outlined above. The Math teacher has to be able to do general schooling of English, as well. A successful candidate would be one who has the ability to keep the kids excitement and attention, must be able to provide 3- and 6-month grades/progress reports, and be a native English speaker.
Suggested daily work schedule:
8 am to 12 noon 4 hours' work
12 noon to 1 pm, lunch break
1 pm - 3 pm - 2 hours' work
Work schedule is 5 days per week / 6 hours per day; days off in general are Sat and Sun, but the candidate would have to be flexible in case of some special activities or traveling.
Preparation for classes and reporting of students' progress are to be done outside of daily 6 hours of schooling.
As the family is living in 3 places and travels, homeschooling is a great option, so the family can stay together! In general the family stays 3-4 months in Greece (family home), 3-4 months in Thailand (family home), and in Arizona (family home) plus traveling in between (e.g., to Europe, Australia, etc., depending on their plans).
Visa support is provided and paid for by the family. Traveling expenses from the US to the family's location is paid, roundtrip.
