The Assistant Controller role will report to the Controller and supervise accounting staff. This permanent employment opportunity is based in the Denver, Colorado area. Boost accountability and the meeting of deliverables
Approve implementation and verify adherence to accounting policies and procedures
Prepare a variety of technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures
Innovative preparation and coordination of fiscal year-end audits
Specify and generate process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency
Warrant regular account reconciliation to completion
Aid with the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting
Devise relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like key financial metrics, the monthly flash report, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Comprehensive knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Ability to multitask effectively
5+ years of general ledger accounting experience
Understanding GAAP and firm accounting policies and procedure
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Outstanding analytical, quantitative and social skills
Certified Public Accounting license
Proficiency in general ledger
Experience with construction company is preferred but not mandatory
Knowledge of US GAAP
