Title: Azure Architect
Location: Denver, CO

Duration: Contract to Hire (quick to convert!)
Pay Rate: $70+ per hour depending on experience

Responsibilities:

• Build, design, deploy, scale, maintain, and lead the implementation of Cloud solutions across multiple cloud offerings, presently Microsoft Azure Cloud Infrastructure.
• Participate in technology evaluation and reengineering teams to support agency strategy and continuous process improvement activities.
• Lead the development of and implement the technology direction, vision, and strategy to enable Cloud technology adoption.
• Implement and refine cloud future state architectures and roadmaps including architecture standards, guidelines, and industry best practices.
• Maintain documentation of cloud resources; build checklists, scripts, diagrams, etc.
• Act as project lead around further software and platform defined services and offerings.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain automation of cloud enablement tools.
• Build tools and automation to eliminate manual operations and craft repeatable processes for cloud use.
• Recognize and resolve all business issues and impacts related to Cloud resources.
• Assess urgency of issues and facilitate follow-up and resolution, including service quality initiatives to support a "five nines" product availability environment.
• Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required; maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment.
• Perform vulnerability management tasks for resources in all cloud environments, in conjunction with Security team.
• Participate in the design, implementation, and management of workload automation initiatives.
• Adhere to firm change management, problem management policies and familiarity with ITIL or other formalized IT operations foundations.
• Possess broad experience with cloud adoption, including application readiness assessment, prototyping of new environments, server builds, data migration, and performance tuning of cloud environments.
• Maintain a technical knowledge of infrastructure components such as Network, Storage, Linux/Windows, IT security, and other cloud resources.
• Configuring software defined networking and security configurations, including security groups and ACLs.
• Troubleshoot complex distributed environments pertaining to connectivity, application performance, and monitoring tools, and offer high-level strategic planning and advice to allow for the successful adoption or migration of Cloud-based technologies or services.
• Work hands-on with Containerization and Orchestration technology such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Provide monthly cloud spend reports, resource allocation, usage, etc. adjusting resources as necessary.
