We value the ability to engage effectively with students, faculty and staff of diverse backgrounds.The Department of Electrical Engineering in the College of Engineering, Design and Computing at the University of Colorado Denver invites applications for a non-tenure track position of Assistant Professor, Clinical Teaching Track. The individual in this position will develop and teach courses in the areas of electrical and computer engineering, conduct scholarly research in their area of expertise,participate in professional service and outreach activities, and contribute to the academic success of engineering students through student advising and student project supervision. Teaching assignments may include online, evening and Friday courses.Reporting to the chair of the department, the successful candidate will be expected to teach lecture and laboratory courses at all levels; aid in developing new courses throughout the undergraduate curriculum that focus on interdisciplinary and human-centered design; participate in curriculum modernization and implement effective pedagogies; participate in undergraduate student advising; and lead student groups, including learning communities and extracurricular club teams.The Electrical Engineering Department currently employs 12 full-time faculty members.The department offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering accredited by ABET, a Master of Science degree, a Master of Engineering degree and a multidisciplinary PhD degree in Engineering and Applied Science. We maintain excellent teaching and research programs in computer engineering, signal processing, communications, controls, energy and power systems, neural-engineering and electromagnetics.Salary and Benefits:Salary is commensurate with skills and experience. Minimum one year experience teaching a wide range of courses in the field of computer engineering and engineering design

Experience leading extracurricular student groups including learning communities and club teams

Experience with/interest in collaborative, interdisciplinary education

Familiarity with online training techniques and technologies

Demonstrated commitment to undergraduate education and student success

Experience in course and curriculum development

Publications in scholarly research journals
