Our client has an immediate need for a support analyst- DevOps who has the responsibility to support both global engineering teams and IT teams. This role is responsible for creating combined software development and IT operations practices which shorten the systems delivery life cycle and provide a continuous delivery platform. In this role, there is a heavy demand on growing a footprint in Azure for the global engineering team. This position will use Azure and Linux to help support this initiative and provide ongoing support. There is a new project on building an environment in Azure to support firmware development environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative multi-team solutions to complex problems. Implement end-user or enterprise infrastructure or services independently. Apply deep, broad technical knowledge of technology and industry trends to lead operations, and administration of critical infrastructure or software platforms and user groups of high complexity
  • Integrate technical expertise and business understanding to create solutions for the company and customers
  • Proactively search for issues and provide solutions to prevent problems from occurring in areas beyond those of immediate responsibility
  • Participate as a member of and lead cross-functional application support or infrastructure technical team(s). Perform sophisticated analysis of cross-functional and complex business requirements. Design complex cross-functional service solutions
  • Strives toward automation to improve operational maturity for the organization. Automate how software is built, tested, and deployed. Work with Engineering teams to improve CI/CD and workflows
  • Apply and manage 3rd party resources and technologies, and leads the design of complex infrastructure and software solution, while driving innovation
Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical/troubleshooting skills for debugging kernel, system and application issues
  • Strongly skilled and dedicated ITIL/ITSM Expert with a superior work ethic and client satisfaction record. Widely and deeply knowledgeable in all aspects of ITIL management and coordination.
  • Excellent knowledge of Linux including Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOs (but also Ubuntu, Debian)
  • Expertise in Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Crowd)
  • Expertise in change, incident and problem management
  • Excellent knowledge in SDLC, SLA, TAT and Application Management Process
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience on tools like SonarCloud, Coverity, Blackduck, Synk
  • Expertise in the best practices regarding Linux system and application deployments, system maintenance and documentation, system security and Enterprise Linux in general
  • Knowledge of databases like MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and MySQL
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams
EXPERIENCE:
  • 5-7 years of DevOps experience and a demonstrated understanding of DevOps and technical quality control processes, artifacts and tools
  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in Azure migration, DevOps, building CICD pipelines and orchestration
  • In depth knowledge of key Azure services - VM, Storage, Azure SQL, VNet, Redis Cache, Resource Manager, Azure Diagnostics/ OMS, Traffic Manager, Azure CDN, Azure Notification Hubs, Azure Identity and Access Management, Infrastructure as Code etc
  • Experience with managing and integrating with virtualization solutions, such as VMware vSphere
  • Experience with containers and container orchestration tools including Docker, Kubernetes, Helm production experience required
  • Experience with clustering, load-balancing, fail-over and disaster recovery techniques
  • Experience with designing infrastructure for systems management, troubleshooting, monitoring and automating environments
  • Experience in project management and leading technical teams
  • Azure / DevOps Certification is highly preferred
EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree holder or above in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent combination of education and experience and training.
