This role is purely hands on and they need to do scripting/programming to manage Jmeter scripts/ CICD Pipeline and Reporting framework.
Daily duties will include, scripting, execution, reporting and at the beginning of each release a Performance and Scalability test planning.
We do use C language for LoadRunner scripting.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy creation for performance test environment, test data, performance monitoring required for the project
Managing CICD Pipeline test execution and resolving the issues within the pipeline code
Building and Enhancing Automated reports (email or grafana) which are built using Golang and MySQL DB
Knowledgeable of application architecture in order to finalize performance test scope
Communicate project status, progress on project issue resolution and ensure effective process improvement feedback
Devise the non-functional requirements and interact with stakeholders for the confirmation
Performance and Scalability testing plans, approaches, timelines & resourcing plan creation
Performance testing scripts creation from testing tools (i.e. Jmeter and LoadRunner) based on the requirements
Development, execution and maintenance of test scenarios & test scripts (exercise production-like scenarios) to ensure change is optimized for performance and free from defects to ensure optimal customer experience
Should be well versed with Kubernetes concepts and Docker Container Architecture.
Monitor server utilization through system commands, as well as Instana, NewRelic and Splunk
Analyze test results to provide insight and direction to project teams and DevOps engineers to resolve performance and scalability issues
Organize & retain project/technical knowledge with a thorough knowledge management process
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with focus on business user.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Expert in implementing CICD Pipeline based executions using Jenkins/Jmeter setup.
Deep understanding of architecture in order to gather Non-functional requirements
Test Scenario design to validate the system's ability to provide service to achieve SLAs
Hands-on in-web based scripts (Jmeter)
Troubleshooting performance issues to identify the root cause and resolve issues
Hands on experience running scale test for Kafka topics and monitor them
Hands on experience to monitor Linux servers using commands
Experience in programming languages and process automation
APM tools knowledge (Instana, NewRelic and Splunk)
Strong understanding of Java runtime (JVM) performance, JMX, Garbage Collection and Thread management
Proficient with version control software (E.g. GitHub) and issue/project tracking software (E.g. Jira)
Code design and reviews to ensure performance best practices are embedded in design.
Experience with SQL queries, stored procedures, and data analysis/validation
Ability to effectively work in a team environment
Ability to leverage industry best practices
