The recruiter position is responsible for sourcing, interviewing, referring and managing the offer process of applicants for technical, scientific, clinical, administrative and management positions on behalf of Ascent clients. This position must possess considerable skill in interviewing techniques and evaluating candidates, writing effective job postings and sourcing various on-line channels, preparing candidate submissions for Ascent clients and/or Account Executives and negotiating and managing the offer acceptance process. A basic understanding of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices is required.Essential Functions:

  • Familiarize yourself with typical job requisitions within your specialty or industry focus.
  • Utilize a variety of sourcing techniques that include Ascent's internal database, writing Boolean search strings, searching job boards, networking and other passive recruiting techniques.
  • Prescreen and interview candidates to confirm they meet the requirements of the job requisition.
  • Proactively seek out sales leads for Ascent's sales team.
  • Educate candidates on background screening process.
  • Conducts employment references and document properly in Ascent's internal database.
  • Extends verbal contingent job offers of employment.
  • Enter assignment information into Ascent's internal database.
  • Send background check directions and links for candidate to complete.
  • Follows up with the related clerical aspects of employment, such as completing new hire paperwork and supplying references.
  • Document activities in Ascent's internal database.
  • Checks in every 30 days with Ascent Professionals who are on billing.
  • Meet or exceed the Ascent Performance Metrics associated with your role and your experience level.
  • Provide regular updates to Account Executives on their open requisitions and the recruiting activities you have completed.
  • Ask clarifying questions and provide feedback on open requisitions, candidate availability and pay ranges based on your experience and results of your recruiting activities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position; days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Team Members are expected to work a minimum 8-hour day between the core hours of 8 AM and 5 PM.Travel
Local travel and interstate travel is expected for this position, up to 50% to visit clients, attend corporate meetings and trade shows.Required Education and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent and 6 months of relevant work experience.Preferred Education and Experience
