This role will be a combination of coaching and people management, and ownership over our Direct Placement processes and data. We’re looking for someone who is passionate and proud about what we get to build, and why - someone who wants to use their talents for meaningful impact and social good.

An idea of your immediate priorities:

  • Take ownership of coaching, developing, and managing the team, individually and as a whole

  • Take ownership of Direct Placement tracking and reporting - understanding current practices, recommending improvements, and creating repeatable, scalable processes

  • Gain a detailed understanding of our current Direct Placement practices - how Recruiters source, vet, place, and follow-up post-hire

  • Gain a detailed understanding of how job seekers engage with our platform and current Employment Specialist practices around outreach, touchpoints, and support

  • Lean in and serve as a Recruiter for a Direct Placement account, to immerse yourself in our business and to help us achieve our short-term growth goals

And how you’ll achieve success:

  • Collaborate with company leaders to refine and/or develop Direct Placement definitions, metrics, and targets (e.g., applications, interviews, placements, verified hires, and retention)

  • Build out our Direct Placement tracking and reporting capabilities, and regularly report on progress against targets, as well as areas of risk and opportunity

  • Own process design, documentation, training, adherence, and continuous improvements for how we approach Direct Placement and job seeker engagement

  • Identify ways to increase the effectiveness of location and/or company-specific marketing materials, both the content itself and how we use them to boost visibility

  • Contribute to a culture of collaboration, effectiveness, accountability, and inclusion

  • Thoughtfully coach and develop the team on skills and practices related to matching job seekers and open roles, including prioritization of effort, communication cadence,

  • Participate as a hiring manager or interviewer as we grow our own teams, helping us continue to hire talented, passionate people for Honest Jobs

  • Contribute subject matter expertise to sales and marketing efforts, serving as a sounding board for internal teams and occasionally leaning in to help close client or partner deals

  • Lean in to operate as a Recruiter, when needed - e.g., we close a big new Direct Placement contract, we are temporarily short-staffed

Qualifications

Required

  • Experience designing and refining processes and metrics in recruiting, talent acquisition, job placement, or similar high-volume services

  • High level of comfort with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools

  • Respect for and ability to build rapport with people of diverse backgrounds

  • Commitment to building a diverse team, including hiring primarily people with felonies

  • Ability to prioritize and focus your own and others’ efforts, with a focus on outcomes vs. busy-ness

  • Ability to help others navigate change and roll with changes in priorities and processes

Preferred

  • Personal lived experience with the criminal justice system

  • Experience with HubSpot, our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool

  • Strong written and spoken communication skills

  • Experience with account management for large corporate clients

  • Experience working at a startup company
