We are looking for a Staff Data Engineer to join our Data team. As a Staff Data Engineer, you will define the vision for data architecture and quality across the company. You will collaborate with data science, engineering, and various business stakeholders to design, build, and scale our data infrastructure that enables analytics, modeling, and experimentation. The work you do will directly impact how we identify opportunities, measure success and drive decision-making.
What you'll do:
Build the infrastructure required for ETL/ELT from a variety of data sources using modern technologies and best practices Design data pipelines and data models to support analytics, modeling, experimentation, and product/business needs Analyze, debug, and maintain critical data pipelines Define and manage SLAs and data quality for datasets and processes Partner with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to solve problems that require data What we need
You have 8+ years of software engineering experience 5+ years of experience of data engineering or engineering with a strong data emphasis 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining robust data models from structured and unstructured sources 5+ technical experience in: Python SQL AWS (particularly Redshift) Airflow DBT ETL Tooling (e.g. Fivetran) Experience implementing and monitoring audits for data quality Experience proactively identifying opportunities to improve ETL/ELT & dashboard performance Experience leveraging your excellent communication skills to thrive in ambiguous environments where problems are not well-defined and evolve quickly
