Our client is looking SQL Database Administrator for Long term project in Denver, CO (Remote) below is the detailed requirements.

Job description:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer science or equivalent, with minimum 8+ Years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 5+ year's technical experience in production SQL Server similar Application support or Development environment experience in installation and patching of SQL Server (2008R22014, 2016, 2018).
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues, security issues etc.
• Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools Strong
• Experience in High availability (Replication, Log shipping, always on, cluster environment)
• Experience in virtualization environment Experience with MS SQL Server 2016 Enterprise on Windows Server 2008,2016 Experience with MS SQL Server 2014/16 in a clustered environment is a plus
• Knowledge/experience with DR (Disaster Recovery) drill and always on Experience on database migrations, up-gradation, and patching
• Ability to detect and troubleshoot SQL Server related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention.
• Strong knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models, database shrink operations
• Experience in implementing operational automation.
• Strong knowledge of how indexes, index management, integrity checks, configuration, patching.
• How statistics work, how indexes are stored, how they can be created and managed effectively.
• SQL Development ability to write and troubleshoot SQL Code and design (stored procedures, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, constraints Power shell scripting knowledge
• Experience of working within an ITIL framework and/or service-oriented organization Good written and verbal communication skills Documentation skills for processes and procedures
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• Ability to use strong industry knowledge to relate to customer needs and dissolve customer concerns and high level of focus and attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic with good time management with ability to work with diverse teams and lead meetings.
