The Sr Software Engineer is responsible for delivery of next generation software solutions that satisfy the requirements of this companies business units. This position works closely with product owners to shape requirements and define innovative solutions. Builds high quality solutions that satisfy the needs for our customers, partners, and business units. Collaborates with development teams to define and drive best practices. Responsible for developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining web-based application systems. Troubleshoot system problems and issues while looking for ways to improve the application. Acts in a lead capacity to junior level Software Engineers by providing guidance and subject matter expertise.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Build full stack web applications using web technologies such as JavaScript, Java, .NET Core, NodeJS, Angular, etc.

  • Collaborate with team on prototyping and other rapid application development techniques to help define system functionality.

  • Write and review code, working closely with team leads on coding guidelines and best practices.

  • Write efficacious automated tests (unit, integration and sometimes full E2E) that are checked-in along with additions or changes to the codebase.

  • Review code for security vulnerabilities and correct where identified.

  • Perform and verify successful software releases to various environments including production.

  • Manage and maintain code base in a source code tool such as the distributed version control system(DVSC) Git.

  • Collaborate with product owners to refine and estimate relative effort level of User Stories.

  • Actively participate is Agile ceremonies as defined by the team's process.

  • Perform ad hoc and scheduled demonstrations of software to team and business partners throughout the development process.

  • Provide mentoring to junior team members

  • Collaborate with data team on data architecture, data processing, data extraction and data modeling.

  • Works with external vendors to evaluate systems and their deployment feasibility

  • Analyze and correct production issues.


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience required in software development, object oriented principals and programming techniques, source code management and documentation, application development ( NodeJS, Angular, .NET Core (C#), ANSI SQL, RabbitMQ, Docker), integration and design, SQL databases (various versions), system analysis and design, design specification development, TCP/IP network environments, and application debugging/troubleshooting required

  • Experience integrating with various desktop, server, or cloud applications such as Hyland's OnBase, Sales Force and LDAP preferred

  • Experience integrating with third party APIs including SOAP and REST preferred
