Your responsibilities as Staff Accountant will include preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. Many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be your responsibility. In addition, you'll be in communication with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, participating in compliance, and reviewing schedules for the reporting processes. An involved position, you will be producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Ad-hoc tasks and special projects, as needed

Manage capital lease and monthly payment schedules

Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments

Partake in annual closing processes

Carry out fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation

Perform month end close, journal entries with minimum supervision

Manage the design and creation of balance sheet analysis and communicate reports to management

Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll

Take part the in implementation and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP

Report on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner

Requirements

Proven analytical skills - defining problems, collecting relevant data, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending improvement/corrective actions

BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred

Recent and relevant accounting experience

Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

QuickBooks experience

General ledger experience preferred

Deep understanding of month end closings

Financial statement preparation experience preferred

Solid understanding of general ledger

Competent with spreadsheets and databases

Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills

Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

Spreadsheet and database capabilities

Vow to meet business deadlines
