Our ideal candidate will be responsible for prepping, stocking, and maintaining the bar to which they are assigned. We are searching for someone with strong work ethic who can withstand relentless crowds, stress, and an extremely fast pace. Job responsibilities include:
Maintains cleanliness, organization, and stock of all bar products.
Communicates with bartenders and lead bar back frequently to proactively maintain bar areas for up to 6 bartenders
Removes dirty dishes, compost, recycling, & trash bins behind bar.
Maintains overall cleanliness of bar top, back bar storage, & floors
Assists guests with understanding our menu and how our concept works
Removes trash and breaks down boxes for the bar.
Maintains dish machines, floor drains, walk in, & storage areas throughout bars
Can work quickly and efficiently, is able to work on multiple tasks at a time.
Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
Experience and Education:
Previous bar and/or restaurant experience required.
Must have a High School diploma or GED.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Required Skill Set:
Must possess excellent multitasking skills. Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism when interacting with guests and co-workers. Ability to monitor and anticipate bartenders needs and respond accordingly in an effort to maintain a quick service pace. Must be able to be on feet for extended periods of time, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Strong work ethic and stamina are crucial.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to perform a variety of physical activities including, but not limited to, standing for long periods of time, climbing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping and lifting up to 65 lbs. Ability to carry and lift cookware (pots, pans, etc) containing hot or cool foods and liquids. Ability to use sharp knives and cooking utensils. Must be able to use cleaning compounds and cleaning products. Must be able carry large bins filled with dishes, silverware and other eating utensils. Ability to work with a variety of restaurant lounge and/or bar equipment and tools.
Shift Flexibility:
Must be able to work different shifts, including holidays, nights and weekends. Must be able to work overtime as required.
Perks:
$10-12/hr + TIPS, average barback pay is $25/hr
