Avanti Food & Beverage, a collective eatery is hiring full and part time support staff and general utility (dish pit). Our ideal candidate will be responsible for clearing out bus tubs throughout the building, doing dishes for all of our vendors, maintain Health Department Standards in our Commissary kitchen emptying garbage/recycling/compost, maintaining dishwashers, clearing out drains, deck brushing kitchen floor daily, cleaning floor mats, etc.

Job responsibilities include:

• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the commissary kitchen, and staff break area

• Maintains cleanliness and organization of dish station, prep areas, vendor hallway

• Communicates with management to handle daily duties and additional tasks as needed.

• Removes dirty dishes, silverware and any debris from bussing and service stations

• Checks restrooms on a routine schedule to maintain cleanliness. Reports any restroom problems to management immediately.

• Leaves commissary kitchen clean, stocked and in compliance with Health Department Standards

• Removes trash and breaks down boxes for the bar.

• Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Experience and Education:

• Previous bar and/or restaurant experience preferred but not required.

• Must have a High School diploma or GED.

• Must be 21 years of age or older.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Required Skill Set:

Effectively clean and sanitize dishes for all vendors, and Avanti. Must be organized and able to manage time and schedule.

Physical Demands: Must be able to perform a variety of physical activities including, but not limited to, standing for long periods of time, climbing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping and lifting up to 55 lbs. Ability to carry and lift cookware (pots, pans, etc) containing hot or cool foods and liquids. Ability to use sharp knives and cooking utensils. Must be able to use cleaning compounds and cleaning products. Must be able carry large bins filled with dishes, silverware and other eating utensils. Ability to work with a variety of restaurant lounge and/or bar equipment and tools.

Shift Flexibility: Must be able to work different shifts, including holidays, nights and weekends. Must be able to work overtime as required.
