Ironton Distillery is a new distillery pub located in Denverâs RiNo Art District. With the onsite production of our housemade spirits, a full bar, fast-casual kitchen, art gallery, private event spaces, and large outdoor patio - the Crafthouse has something for everyone.
Ironton is in search of a General Manager who will act as an extension of ownership by overseeing the day-to-day operations of Ironton as a whole. This person provides support and commitment to the team with a positive and enthusiastic personality, strong leadership skills, excellent communication and creative problem-solving. The GM will ensure the guest experience is up to company standards at all times while maintaining an exciting, inviting and collaborative environment for both guests and staff. This person must have experience managing people. Weâre a small team, so the ability to wear multiple hats is important. There will certainly be options to grow with the company for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all areas of the guest experience including tasting room, kitchen and event spaces. General oversight of the grounds organization and tidiness
Must be present and engaged with guests and staff putting the guest experience at utmost importance
Ensure quality products and services to our guests
Become a face of the brand, Act as an extension of ownership, Understand the company vision, and Promote the Ironton brand
Stay in regular communication with staff, managers and ownership to ensure efficient day-to-day operations
Assist Distiller with tour and tasting program
Work alongside Event Manager for private event bookings and day of execution
Work alongside the team to create, promote and execute regular events, specials and more to boost traffic and generate regulars
Manage reservations and small event bookings
Foster relationships with current partners/neighbors and build new relationships
Work closely with Bar & Kitchen Manager to ensure proper staffing, inventory, etc.
Ensure adherence to cash management procedures
Assist with interviews and hiring candidates as needed
Plan, implement and oversee employee supervision, discipline, training, development and termination. Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues.
Expand and improve current SOPs
Promote collaboration and excitement within the staff through leadership and positive energy
Lead by example and set the standards for service by maintaining discipline and structure. Constantly promote teamwork amongst the staff and management by displaying creativity, trust, dependability and respect.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested
Specifications
Experience in a management position in the food and beverage industry
Self-discipline, initiative, leadership ability and outgoing nature
Exceptional communication skills
Excellent customer service
Attention to detail
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
Interest and/or knowledge in spirits, cocktails, and distillation
Cocktail menu development is a plus
Social Media and graphic design experience is a plus
