Hi, my name is Alice. I’m a young working professional, and I also happen to be a quadriplegic.
I have multiple shifts available and am looking to hire two new employees, each able to work approximately three shifts per week. The available shifts include a Sunday double (morning and evening), Monday evening, Tuesday evening, Wednesday double, and Thursday morning. Morning shifts are 6 to 9:30, and evening shifts are 8 to 9:30. Since evening shifts are short and we’re heading into winter, I’m especially hoping to hire someone who lives close to Belmar, which is located in Lakewood.
Tasks include shower assistance, bowel programs, getting me dressed, using a Hoyer lift for transfers, preparing meals, and occasionally running errands. I am experienced in training individuals with no prior experience working with someone with a spinal cord injury; however, this position is physically demanding, so applicants must be capable of having an active job.
