Independence House Fillmore is a Residential Dual Diagnosis Treatment (RDDT) Program located in Denver, Colorado. We work with forty adult men who are coming out of incarcerated settings and transitioning back into the community. All clients attend treatment programming on-site for eight hours per week in addition to their outside employment. Mental Health Clinicians and Case Managers work with our Community Corrections Technicians to help cultivate a trauma-informed milieu. We are a strong team with a mission to help each of our clients understand their power of choice and how they can make different decisions that will keep them out of jail or prison. Our clients are with us for at least nine months, and live at this facility.
We are looking for a full-time, male adult to work as a Community Corrections Technician on our Graveyard Shift. Hours are as follows: Sunday (10 PM-6 AM), Monday (10 PM-6 AM), Tuesday (11 PM-7 AM), Wednesday (11 PM-7 AM), and Saturday (3 PM-11 PM). This applicant must be male due to staffing requirements.
Responsibilities include monitoring and engaging with residents in a community corrections facility. Applicant duties also include being a positive member of a team dedicated to securing the facility twenty-four hours a day, completing urinalysis tests and pat searches on residents, as well as auditing facility documents and report-writing.
Applicants must have a GED or High School Diploma, be 18 years of age or older, and able to lift 50 pounds. Also required is a valid Driver's License, to be able to pass a National Criminal Background check, and pass a Urinalysis Test.
