Position Overview
We are currently looking for experienced Carpenter’s Apprentices and Carpenters to assist our crew leads with construction of Decks, Patio Covers, Pergolas and other structures as needed. Abilities must include lifting heavy objects of 80+ pounds regularly, being able to work outdoors in the elements, using basic math skills, and the ability to work as a team player. Mindset and a good attitude is the key to a positive and laid back work environment. We know that going to work everyday is not everyone’s favorite thing to do but a positive mindset through the day and week makes all the difference for our crews.
Position Tasks
CARPENTER'S APPRENTICE: Learn the trade from scratch.
Duties will include digging, moving materials, assisting in holding things in place, learning.
This position does not require previous experience but requires a desire to learn and form skills needed to be able to progress as an employee.
Project site locations will vary and reliable transportation is required.
CARPENTER: Carpenters should have minimum 1 year experience with framing, decking or similar structural work.
Work with power tools including saws, nail guns, drills, etc.
Must be able to read tape measure, make straight cuts and have knowledge of tools needed in the trade.
Duties will range anywhere from digging and moving material, to detailed trim work.
A wide range of skills will be utilized.
Project site locations will vary and reliable transportation is required.
Upward advancement to crew lead or company wide project manager possible.
Pay
CARPENTER'S APPRENTICE: $15-$16 per hour depending on any previous experience but no experience is required.
CARPENTER: $17-$20 per hour depending on experience. A carpenter who is skilled enough to work without a lot of supervision or as a crew leader will be raised to $20+ per hour after demonstration of abilities.

All required payroll taxes are automatically taken from paychecks that are direct deposited into your bank account. You will receive a W-2 at the end of the year to file with your return rather than a 1099 and owe tax. This allows you to pay into your social security account for your future retirement. Because all pay is reported, if any government agencies are looking for you they will definitely find you! Fair warning, if you owe child support your wages will be garnished at some point.
