FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Description of Position

Martin-Ray Laundry Systems, Inc. (MRLS) is seeking a full-time Field Service Technician for commercial washers and dryers. We are willing to train the right person if you demonstrate motivation, have mechanical aptitude and take initiative. We are seeking an entry level Field Service Technician responsible for providing outstanding customer service to Martin Ray customerson site. This includes commercial laundries, hospitals, hotels, motels, sports clubs, government agencies, universities, schools, and coin laundries. The Service Technician performs on-site routine maintenance, installation, troubleshooting and repair of all manufacturers' commercial and industrial laundry equipment. To start, the Field Service Technician will be assigned to a Senior Technician for training and will assist on projects, as necessary.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

You must be mechanically oriented and be willing to learn how to install, troubleshoot, repair, and provide routine, preventative maintenance of customer laundry equipment.

Educate customers on basic equipment repair and upkeep procedures.

Maintain and collect accurate and complete equipment information.

Maintain parts, tools, and equipment

Complete required paperwork and maintain accurate customer/work order records for each delivery

Establish positive customer relationships

Cross-sell or up-sell additional products and services (This will earn you additional commissions and incentives.)

Regular, reliable, predictable attendance

Must be able to work some overnight as required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Have first rate customer service skills, along with an excellent work ethic.

Must have a driver's license with an insurable driving record (Martin Ray's insurance carrier provides coverage).

Ability to safely operate a company vehicle and drive for a period of at least eight (8) hours per day.

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to work with Martin Ray customers and Martin Ray associates.

Attend manufacturer training sessions both in-house and at the manufacturers' factories.

Have the capacity to lift, push and/or move a minimum of 50 lbs

Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, twist, bend, and/or climb during a work day including performing overtime work as required.

Understand all basic safety tasks required including safe operation of hand/power tools and other equipment to complete all duties.

Perform all duties in a safe manner and in accordance with Martin Ray policy and all government mandated safety programs including OSHA or other municipal safety regulations.

Attend any safety training programs required by any government agencies, and private training offered by the equipment manufacturers and mandated by Martin Ray's insurance company

Submit to any drug testing required by Martin Ray and/or Martin Ray's customers.

Daily and overnight travel.

Maintain inventory of company parts on company provided vehicle (Martin Ray pays all travel expenses).

Provide own tools. Any large or specialty tools provided by Martin Ray.

HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:

Working with mechanical systems (e.g., knowing mechanical concepts, troubleshooting and repairing appliances, performing basic household repair in plumbing, circuits, fuses, and electrical components, operating hand tools and power tools, etc.)

Generating and setting work schedules (e.g., determining the priority of work projects, building work schedules, scheduling tasks during the day, etc.)

Serving customers (e.g., resolving customer issues, ensuring appropriate communication with store managers, following up on customer requests, etc.)

Completing basic paperwork (e.g., filling out paperwork, completing documentation to turn in to supervisor, filling out time cards mileage, etc.)

Education: HS Diploma or the equivalent

Status: Full Time (and overtime as required)
