Responsibilities:

• Design, build, test, deploy and maintain systems using JVM based languages, focusing on Scala, Spark and Java


• Collaborate with other teammates to creatively solve problems ranging from scalability and performance to user interface and experience.


• Process large amounts of data leveraging big data technologies in an AWS environment


• Create and maintain microservices connected through APIs

• 4+ years of professional experience in wed development and/or data engineering


• 1+ Years of data engineering and/or architecture experience preferably using Spark


• Excellent object-oriented or functional programming skills


• Fluency in Scala and experience with other languages preferably Java or Python


• Expert in debugging and solving complex distributed systems


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to prioritize work in a rapidly growing environment


• Hands on experience in cloud technology
