Job Type: Full-time or Part-Time
Position Description: The Manufacturing Production Technician (MPTĀ) is a part of a team of MPTs who perform all phases of the manufacturing process, from raw material processing to packaging and loading of finished product.
Major Areas of Responsibility: The MPT is cross-trained on all production line positions. Duties may include the following:
Receiving, unloading, and processing of raw materials
Measuring and cutting of materials
Loading raw materials into a machine or onto a conveyor belt
Feeding materials from conveyor belt into production machines
Removing finished product from production machines
Packing and palletizing finished product
Loading pallets onto delivery truck
Performing simple, routine maintenance on machinery and equipment
Primary Objectives:
Perform work safely and carefully
Meet monthly production goals
Assist team members/ask for assistance as needed to keep production moving
Job Requirements:
Ability to work as a member of a team
Strong communication skills
Ability to follow instructions
This is a manual labor position
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma preferred but not required
Previous experience working in a warehouse or production facility preferred
Physical Demands:
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk, hear, and see. The employee is often required to stand, bend, and reach. The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers to manipulate objects. The employee will frequently need to push, pull, or lift objects up to 50 pounds and, occasionally, be asked to push, pull, or lift objects in excess of 50 pounds with assistance.
Work Environment:
This is a production environment with moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is low to high, depending on proximity to the machinery, and ear protection is provided. The production area can be dusty and dust masks are provided. The production area is not climate controlled, and part of the production line is outdoors but under a roof.
