OSS and Network Optimization Engineer Charter ONSITE DAY 1 in Denver, CO 60-80/h CTC or W2 GavinHeath is partnering with a client in Centennial, CO looking to add a OSS and Network Optimization Engineer to their team. The role is a Contract-To-Hire position. Responsibilities :
Testing and validation of end to end OSS platform
Perform 5G NR Wireless network optimization, analyse drive tests, KPIs and provide recommendations for improvement of network performance
Assist in carrying out data collection and provide post-processing analysis.
Responsible for deployment of 5G NR network.
Assist in integration of various tools with end to end OSS platform

Have experience with OSS development and software development cycle.

Familiar with 4G/5G NR radio KPIs.
Strong understanding of 5G architecture and radio interface.
At least 5+ years strong RF network optimization experience in 4G and 1 year in 5G NR.
Good understanding of design concepts such as Link budget and capacity planning.
Working experience with small cells and understanding of radio propagation below clutter.
Hands on experience of using propagation tools( preferably - Atoll, Overture and ibwave)
Experience with data collection and post processing tools such as X-CAL, X-Cap, Wireshark and iPerf.
Have experience of working with crowd source data and be able to perform traffic and statistical analysis.
Familiarity with SON Features such as ANR, Auto PCI, LB, MRO, Pilot Pollutions, Overshooting, PCI Collision.
Understanding of layer 3 message flow.
Able to perform site build verifications and site acceptance process.
Familiarity with 3GPP Rel 8-17 features, CA, CoMP etc and LTE/5G NR network architecture.
Familiarity with GIS tools Such as Mapinfo and Google Earth.
Intimate knowledge and understanding of oRAN and vRAN, must be familiar with vRAN/oRAN standards.
Familiar with CBRS and SAS concepts is a big plus.
Understanding of networking concepts DNS, DHCP, IP connectivity, VLAN, subnetting and IPsec etc. (CCNA desired)
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (with focus on Wireless communication theory).
