Numerica is a fast paced, high tech company with deep expertise in cutting-edge information science. We are seeking a Corporate Paralegal to work with our talented Contract Management Team.

The Corporate Paralegal will play a pivotal role in helping Numerica manage its wide variety of government defense contracts and other business and administrative contracts.

In addition, the Corporate Paralegal will assist the technical science teams by analyzing and advising on contract requirements and creating guidance documentation.

Working with an attorney, your goal is to ensure not only successful contract administration, but to also ensure compliance with contractual requirements.

Position Summary : This position will have exposure to a wide variety of contract activities. Reporting to an attorney, you will strengthen and develop your business knowledge and expertise by being a part of a fast-growing company that delivers technology solutions to government and industry customers.

Preferred candidates will have a strong background in contract administration; proposal administration; a willingness to learn;

be a team player, and be able to adapt to the changing needs of a fast-paced small technology business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned) :

Prepare electronic files related to contracts and all related documents

Develop a deep understanding of contract documents, related action item due dates, and Numerica specific policies and procedures

Ensure contract deliverables are completed accurately, correctly, and delivered on time.

Participate in kick-off meetings to communicate necessary contract requirements to Numerica€™s Technical Team through the setup of deliverable calendars, contract briefs, requirements, and other necessary and required information

Assist with contract related purchases, ensure purchases are in compliance with contract requirements and Numerica policies, and add contractor acquired property to the government property inventory

Prepare form documents customarily used in Numerica€™s business operations

Act as the point of contact LL1 with internal and external customers on contract administrative matters such as negotiations, closeouts, and government property audits or events

Participate in agreement review, negotiation, and modification activities

Input and maintain project information in the contract management and accounting systems. This includes, but is not limited to, setting up billing and project files, as well as labor categories, and work breakdown structures

Participate in the closeout of contracts and provide information on the status of closeout as necessary

Support finance in external audits and reviews by preparing reports or other requested documentation

Monitor Numerica€™s subcontracts by reviewing invoices, and ensuring their compliance with agreements and regulations

Be a team player on special projects as needed

Functional and Technical Skills Required :

Paralegal degree

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Strong analytical abilities, with a high detail orientation and expectation for quality. Para-legal experience preferred

Operate well in a highly regulated business environment

Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

Commitment to excellence, and continuous improvement

Willingness to learn and apply federal regulations and contract requirements (FAR, DFARS, CAS, ITAR, EAR, etc.)

Preferred skills and experience :

Experience in a legal-related field

Experience in project management

Experience in federal government contracts, data requirements and delivery forms

Knowledge of federal procurement processes and practices, including FAR and DFARS

Educational and Experience Requirements :

Bachelor€™s Degree

Other Requirements :

U.S. Citizenship Required

Due to the nature of the work performed at Numerica, all applicants must be capable of obtaining a U.S. Security Clearance.

At a minimum, this requires that a candidate be a U.S. citizen with a personal history indicating trustworthiness, reliability, and sound judgement (e.

g., clean criminal record, no use of illegal drugs, etc.)
