Executive Chef - Salary + bonus
This is a $7 million per year restaurant, desk jockey's need not apply.
The Executive Chef will manage all kitchen operations, food ordering, food preparation, training, and scheduling of all BOH staff. You will be on the line a good part of the day, must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
This position will oversee menu planning, kitchen sanitation, food and labor cost controls. Qualified candidates should respond with resume, references and any previous press or reviews.
Minimum 5-7 years experience in high volume, dining environment with at least 2 of those years in a leadership role
Proven ability to cut food costs while maintaining high quality
Current ServSafe Food Handler Certificate, or better, ServSafe Manager Certificate, willing and able to acquire these certifications.
Proficiency in inventory management, food costing and labor management
Ability to ensure the highest level of consistency and quality through mentoring junior culinary staff
Well developed communication skills while interacting with both FOH and BOH employees in a teaching/coaching environment
Creative and innovative culinary skills
Enthusiastic, positive presentation and communication skills with guests and the public
Strong, existing relationships with vendors & producers
