The Wapiti Colorado Pub is seeking highly qualified team members for our extremely high volume kitchen. We hire top talent that knows the hospitality industry is their calling.

Job Duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

 Ensure that the restaurant kitchen produces a high quality food product at all times.

 Anticipate and attend to the guest's needs and desires immediately.

 Prepare sauces, soups and hot dishes for service and special functions.

 Demonstrate superior recipe knowledge for every item on the food menus.

 Participate in the costing of food menu items

 Requisition the appropriate amount of food product in accordance with the established restaurant policies and procedures.

 Ensure that all standard recipes are followed at all times

 Maintain a harmonious relationship with other members of the service team.

 Maintain effective par stock levels for all products.

 Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.

 Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served.

 Knows and complies consistently with our standard recipes, portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.

 Maintains a clean and sanitary work station and area.

 Handles, stores and rotates all products properly.

 Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods and as needed.

 Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.

 Assists in day to day operations including but not limited to budgeting, scheduling, and training

Job Qualifications are as follows:

 A minimum of 4 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.

 At least 6 months experience in a similar capacity.

 Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel.

 Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.

 Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours).
