We are a private, well established, dental office located in Fort Collins, CO. We are looking for a warm and friendly dental assistant. We are seeking an individual that prides him/herself on superior customer service skills and works well with others. We are looking for individuals with a positive and caring attitude towards our great family of patients as well as the rest of our dental team. Tasks will include but are not limited to:
Chairside dental assisting the dentist with various dental procedures
Gathering patient information and health background
Providing patient care and support
Taking X-rays of patients teeth
Preparing the work area for procedures
Preparing materials for crowns or dental impressions
Performing coronal polishing, sealant application, fluoride application, and topical anesthetic application as needed
Stocking treatment areas and monitoring inventory
Cleaning and sterilizing dental instrument
Dental Assistant Requirements and Qualifications
Accurate and precise attention to detail
Knowledge of Dentrix software is a plus, but we will train the right individual
Compassionate and caring of patients
Knowledge of aseptic and sterilization techniques
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Calm and cool-headed with a positive attitude
Complies with all regulations, protocols, and procedures
Dental Assisting certification: Licensed, registered, or certified by the Dental Assisting National Board(DANB)
Current certification in CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation)
X-Ray Certification: Meet all local and state requirements to operate radiography equipment
