Spectrum provides services and supports for adults and children with Developmental Disabilities. We are currently seeking a part-time Staff Nurse to work approximately 15 hours per week. This position works out of our Fort Collins office with occasional travel to surrounding areas including Boulder and Weld counties.
The Staff Nurse will support the overall medical needs of individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities in Residential Services, Day Program, Supported Living Services (SLS), and Childrens Extensive Services (CES). The Staff Nurse will actively collaborate with other team members to ensure the providers and Host Home Providers (HHP) are in compliance with all licensure requirements and organizational policies; specifically, in quality of care and documentation. It is the responsibility of the Staff Nurse to maintain compliance with all rules according to the Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (DIDD)
Job Responsibilities fall under the following categories:
Record Management- including Medication Administration Records, Physician Orders, Protocols, Informed Consents, etc.
Medical Management-All Services
Monitoring
Setting up initial client appointments and attending appointments as needed
Trainings and Certifications for staff- includes CPR/First Aid, QMAP, delegations, and re-training as needed.
Supporting clients and providers with medical issues as they arise
Requirements:
BSN Preferred, Current Colorado RN License Required
CPR and First Aid Certifications
Clear Criminal and Driving Record
Valid drivers license
1-3 years as a professional nurse and/or experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred (Equivalent experience will be considered).
