The Commercial District Manager is responsible for meeting Company objectives and executing initiatives, programs, and procedures to ensure compliance and achievement in the areas of sales, new customer acquisition, customer retention, financial results, customer service, operations and marketing.Essential Duties And Responsibilities:Market CarToys to all external Commercial customers; gaining new customers through consistent and effective cold calling, follow-up, and follow through, including weekly visits to existing customers.Achieve all Commercial GPD goals.Achieve Fleet Goals for given territory.Achieve Insurance Goals for given territoryRecruit and manage business relationships with local Commercial accounts in all appropriate territories by selling the services of the CarToys Commercial program.Outside Sales

Develop leads, make regular sales calls and visits to new, existing, and potential Commercial clients, including fleet, insurance, and wholesale prospects. Meet or exceed company standards for appearance and professionalism.Prepare sales materials for effective sales calls.Update calendar and prospect list with planned activities, results from sales calls, and follow-up required.Timely review of all Commercial sales reports and plans accordingly to maximize results and improve performance in deficient areas.Consistent daily use of SOP documents (checklists) to ensure quality sales calls.Input all sales activities and results in CRM daily.Customer Service

Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers. Exceed minimum customer service performance standards by setting high customer service expectations, training and assisting those clients to those expectations, and consistently rewarding desired behaviors while eliminating undesired behaviors. Actively demonstrate the Company Guiding Principles in all interactions with Company employees and customers. Listen carefully and respond timely.Personnel Development

Teach, lead, and coach store Commercial staff to increase their effectiveness, efficiency, and proactively to achieve their maximum potential. Areas of focus include:

Insurance Replacement Procedures and processing paperwork correctly.Wholesale Procedures (including car dealership and marine accounts).Fleet procedures and leadsRelationship building with all Commercial prospects and accounts.Reward and recognize individuals who contribute to the team effort.Assist Store Managers & Regional Managers in recruiting and hiring store Commercial staffFinancial Performance

Attain Commercial GPD goals by planning, directing, and coordinating with the RCSM a strategic plan to achieve the Commercial goal for their territory. Effectively manage expense budget.Communication

Ensure complete and timely communication of Company objectives, policies and initiatives throughout the assigned territory with all Commercial accounts and CarToys personnel. Ensure that communication between all parties is consistent, ongoing, united, and informed. Foster an environment of open and upward communication with all team members to ensure a thorough understanding of issues, effective conflict resolution and an upward flow of creative ideas for the benefit of the department and Company. Establish working relationships based on trust and respect. Respond timely to internal and external customers, and solicit team members to do the same. Effectively follow up on situations with internal and external customers. Actively communicate issues and concerns with supervisor in a timely manner.Operations

Achieves operational objectives for the territory ensuring compliance with Company policies and procedures. Examples include but are not limited to:Assist Accounts Receivable with the collection of unpaid billings.Focus on presenting and selling ?Commercial only? products.Assist team by selling or returning on-hand at-risk inventoryUpdate Sales Funnel/CRM daily with activities to build business.Self Development - Actively continue self-development process by gaining knowledge and building skills as a professional businessperson, manager, and leader. Incorporate principles, skills, and training learned in daily work life.Dimensions:Qualitative: Establishes & maintains the Company culture within their territory through personally demonstrating and reinforcing the Company Guiding Principles.Quantitative: Achieve results that exceed Company minimum standards in all areas including staff training and development, customer service, loss prevention, turnover, and team professionalism.Working Relationships:Must establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, peers, subordinates, internal and external customers. Must assist customers with accurate information on account balances, products, and changes in any services. Provide excellent problem resolution to clients, and document client opportunities for future needs to better assist in the overall success of the client. Diffuse customer issues with a concrete effort to minimize future problems in the process of selling CarToys Commercial program.Minimum High school diploma.Read, speak, write and understand the English language.1+ year?s prior successful store Commercial experience, and/or outside sales experience.Must have good driving record, insurance and reliable transportation.Ability to work independently with minimal direct management from supervisor.Objectivity, interpersonal, facilitation, and coaching skills.Car stereo and communications product knowledge a plus.Should possess insurance replacement, fleet, dealership, or wholesale industry knowledge.Effective communication, organizational and time management skills. Must demonstrate prior success in employee development, participation in problem solving, relationship building with customers.High level of ambition.Strong customer service orientation.Demonstrated leadership by example in a changing environment.Willingness to uphold Company policies and procedures.Computer literate in Microsoft Windows based software.Knowledge in GERS a plus.This position is primarily walking, driving, standing or sitting while making sales calls. Work is performed mostly ?on-the-road? making visits to existing and prospective clients. About 20% of the time will be spent at a desk or office environment.
