Job Duties and Responsibilities
DISH is seeking a Cloud Native Architect with extensive Kubernetes, container, micro services based architecture, and private and public cloud experience. As part of DISH Technology and Architecture team, you will be responsible for architecting solutions for deployment and configuration of telco CNFs at scale. You will also be working on automation using open sourced tools across hybrid multi cloud environments. To be successful in DISH's dynamic and fast-paced environment you should be self-driven, able to adopt to fast moving environment and should enjoy learning new technologies.
Your responsibilities will include
Developing Virtualization and CNF Requirements related to build, deployment, management and scaling
Implementing full Kubernetes automation including deployment, backups and recovery
Evaluating and recommending architectural changes to DISH ISVs for their CNF implementations to align with DISH's cloud-native principles
Defining processes and mechanisms for CNF Life Cycle Management
Architecting CI/CD pipelines that can be adopted for multi-cloud deployments
Working on automation projects from concept to production, including proposal, discussion, and execution.
Creating detailed low-level design documents and including network configurations
Skills, Experience and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have
Expertise in container technologies, specifically Docker
Expertise in managed container services from PCP like EKS, GKE, AKS etc.
Excellent understanding and experience with running applications at scale using containers and Kubernetes
Experience with EFK, Cassandra, Kafka, Grafana, Prometheus
Experience with Istio or another Service Mesh
Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
Proficiency with the server networking configuration and troubleshooting in various OS environments: Linux, VMware ESX.
Experience in one or more following virtualization technologies, VMWare, KVM, Redhat
Experience with CI/CD and ability to design and build pipelines from scratch
Preferably, you also have
Industry certifications such as VCP, CCNP, JNCIP, CCIE
Experience as a contributor to CNCF projects
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple parts of a large organization
Ability to work autonomously and remotely
Strong organizational skills with the ability to self-motivate and self-manage
Good interpersonal and effective communication skills
