Job Duties and Responsibilities

What you will be doing
As part of the Wireless Network Engineering organization, the Program Manager supports the delivery of engineering programs that include deployment, support and integration of our On-Prem, Cloud Networking, Security, and Automation teams. The PM will interact with management teams and change agents to identify scope, requirements, and manage projects through the full project lifecycle. Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories: Day-to-day job responsibilities:
  • Manage project expectations including owning escalation, communication, and VP-level interaction on critical strategic projects for the company.
  • Manage the planning, development, design, and implementation of Wireless Network Engineering projects.
  • Manage the coordination and project deliverables between internal DISH project organizations as well as 3rd party partners to deliver the project on time and on budget.
  • Work cross-functionally as a dynamic leader to effectively guide projects from concept to deployment and facilitate large cross-functional meetings guiding large project teams.
  • Document all aspects of the project including requirements, risk, issues, schedule, and meeting agendas/notes.
  • Ability to operate in uncertainty and adapt quickly is paramount as the environment is fast-paced and evolving.
  • Travel is possible, but not regularly scheduled.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Skills
A successful Program Manager will have the following:
  • BS in Engineering or technical degree or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • 5+ years managing technology deployment projects, preferably networking related.
  • PMP with experience with Agile/Scrum and waterfall methodologies would be a plus
  • Technical understanding of one or more of the following technology: 5G, Data Network(IP/MPLS), Firewall, DDOS, PKI and IPAM systems
  • Must possess high energy to maintain a sense of urgency throughout project and to set the tone for all teams involved.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to manage large meetings.
  • Dynamic personality and can quickly establish trust and rapport with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong ability to document, vet requirements, and drive quality within a program or project.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships.

Salary Range
Compensation: $87,500.00/Year - $143,750.00/Year
