HOTEL COOK
We are a 100-room hotel in Salida, Colorado with a fast, casual restaurant and bar serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. We are located 3 miles from the ski resort on Monarch Mountain with on-site living quarter available. We are looking for a team player who is an excellent skilled COOK able to prepare delicious meals according to menu in a timely manner. Also capable of performing kitchen administrative duties such as food orders, controlling operational costs and identify measures to cut waste. Capable of managing and motivating restaurant staff to provide excellent customer service.
Onsite living quarters available with paid electricity, water, cable and trash.
Proven experience as a cook; preferably with supervisory experience
Capable of working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and speed of food/service;
Prepare all required paperwork, including inventory, order forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner.
Control food cost and usage by following proper requisition of products from vendors, storage procedures, standards and waste control. Control labor cost by proper scheduling.
Ensure all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and preventative maintenance plans
Knowledge of and the ability to follow sanitation and health code procedures;
Ability to work as a team; Coordinate with department managers;
Able to cross train and work efficiently in different departments;
Very good communication skills with the ability to handle complaints professionally;
Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction.
