ACC is seeking an experienced Traffic Control Supervisor or Traffic Control Technician needed for immediate position. Must have Valid Drivers License with a clean driving record.
Supervises tasks related to vehicular, pedestrian and construction traffic control operations related to road, bridge and highway heavy construction projects. Responsible for implementing and overseeing traffic control operations, lane closures, road closures, setting signs and devices, per MHT s and in compliance with local, state and federal rules and regulations. May operate a variety of vehicles, hand tools and power tools.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
⢠Develops, interprets and implements traffic routing plans or MHT, and type and location of control points from TCS 3, Crew Leader or Project Manager.
⢠Distributes traffic control signs and markers along site in designated pattern.
⢠Directs movement of traffic through site, using sign, hand, and flag signals.
⢠Warns laborers and drivers when approaching vehicle fails to heed signals to prevent accident and injury to workers.
⢠Informs drivers of detour routes through construction sites.
⢠Records license number of traffic control violators for police.
⢠Gives hand marker to last driver in line up of one-way traffic for Flagger at opposite end of site, signaling clearance for reverse flow of traffic.
⢠Gives direction to flaggers.
⢠When not working as a TCS, will perform Laborer work as directed. Please see Laborer position for a listing of job duties that are included in this position. You will be responsible for keeping devices and truck in clean and organized manner, complete and turn in paperwork on daily basis. TCS to perform 1 or more setups daily. Must be willing to work all times of everyday (24/7).
Training/Education:
⢠High school diploma or equivalent
⢠Traffic Control Supervisor Certification by the State of Colorado
⢠Valid Colorado Flagger Certification
⢠Valid Colorado Drivers License
Experience:
⢠Two years experience as a Traffic Control Supervisor
Working Environment:
⢠Outdoor environment that includes exposure to rain, sleet, snow, extreme cold, dust, mud, heat, direct sunlight, dark, and noise
⢠May be exposed to moving vehicles, exhaust and fumes
Physical Activities:
⢠Prolonged standing and bending, reaching, crawling, climbing, grasping, kneeling, squatting, and twisting.
⢠Often includes lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling items up to 75 pounds.
