JOB DUTIES:
A thorough knowledge of the operation of the equipment as well as problem-solving abilities are crucial
Must have own tools
Periodic service may also be required to help reduce the chance of breakdowns as well as to ensure that small engines are kept running at optimal performance.
Mechanic must be able to follow checklist that will include the inspection as well as the cleaning of the breaks, fuel injection systems, electrical systems, carburetors, plugs and other parts.
Perform maintenance and repair as required
Clean and lubricate equipment
Check for proper oil levels in gearboxes, hydraulic units, etc.
Check air pressure on tires
Check all piping and hoses for leakage and fasteners for tightness
Assist in the installation of equipment
Keep all work areas clean and tidy
Adhere to all safety procedures and report any safety related problems found to any mechanic/foreman
Must have knowledge to dismantle and rebuild a small Honda engine.
