    • BASE SALARY- Starting hourly pay range for a Clinical Systems Analyst I is $21.89 to $26.35. Starting hourly pay range for a Clinical Systems Analyst II is $27.47 to $31.98. Starting hourly rate for a Clinical Systems Analyst III is $38.87 to $45.29. Pay will be dependent on relevant experience and qualifications. This position is not bonus eligible.


    JOB PURPOSE: To improve the health and wellbeing of our communities.


    BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for assisting in the support of the daily activities of MEDITECH, and additional related clinical software applications. Duties include but are not limited to providing training to Grand River Hospital District (GRHD) staff and assisting in the implementation and testing of various clinical software and system updates in a multi-facility, multi-campus environment.
    Analyzes user needs, requirements, procedures, and problems relevant to assigned information system programs to automate processing and improve functionality of the primary and associated clinical system programs of the Healthcare Information Systems (HCIS) by evaluating, designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining the feature/functions of new and existing systems. Leads/manages assigned projects and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

    Performs a variety of complicated tasks and other duties as assigned.


    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Education: Registered as a RN, LPN, EMT or C N A in the State of Colorado or certified Medical Assistant preferred.
    Experience: Direct experience with the use and support of the MEDITECH system is significant requirement. Minimum of 5 years clinical information systems experience (or equivalent) implementing and supporting clinical computerized applications required. NPR and Crystal report writer, Rules, compiled reports, UR and QI experience considered a significant plus. Bachelor s degree in a related area preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical role in an acute hospital, clinic, or long term care environment preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience with implementation and direct support of clinical/ancillary related Healthcare Information Systems in an IS department preferred. MEDITECH experience required. Strong background with query tools (preferably MEDITECH and NPR Report Writer) and basic PC operations. Experience with QI tools and proven team leadership desired.


    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be able to demonstrate expertise in clinical/ancillary of MEDITECH applications and other applications as required. Ability to communicate easily, clearly, accurately and confidently. Ability to tactfully and diplomatically negotiate based on need and foresight in conflict situations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of hospital managers, staff, QI teams, clients (i.e. physicians, clinics), coworkers and other customers and associates. Ability to effectively communicate via telephone and messaging. Ability to write effective reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals and executive summaries. Ability to apply basic concepts of math, algebra, and statistics. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to make sound decisions without supervisory intervention. Ability to read, analyze and interpret periodicals, professional journals, procedure manuals and government regulations relevant to clinical specialty.

    Ability to focus on a balanced approach to systems that considers organization needs, human issues and technology factors. Ability to define the problem, identify requirements, visualize solutions and gain user involvement. Ability to effectively manage features/functions of HCIS systems relevant to the individual s Specialty area. Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft WINDOWS, Office, Internet Explorer and Outlook. Effective use of project/time management programs. Keyboard and mouse dexterity. Must be a good steward of District resources (both materials and time). Must be able to successfully use project and time management skills to complete projects/tasks on schedule and within budget. Must be able to function independently without constant supervision. Maintains focus on own roles and responsibilities and communicates in a timely and effective manner to the department director. Must be able to effectively function in a team environment, either as a team member or leader. Ability to effectively use QI tools. Must be able to successfully train and educate users to effectively utilize HCIS functions and routines relevant to the individual s specialty. Must be able to travel to meetings, conferences, seminars, and other related functions as assigned.

    WORKING CONDITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock and risk of radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Multiple distractions exist due to the physical set up of the work-area.
