Are you a tinkerer? Do you enjoy taking things apart and then putting them back together? How about playing with LEGO®? Would you like to use a ridiculous amount of LEGO® materials to teach kids how the world works? If so, then this may be your dream job!

Play-Well TEKnologies (http://www.play-well.org) is an educational enrichment company that introduces children in grades K-8 to STEM concepts using LEGO® components.

We are looking for a smart, creative, dynamic LEGO® Engineering Instructor to deliver our great programs in the mountain towns of Summit and Eagle counties, including: Frisco, Dillion, Silverthorne, Breckenridge, Vail. This is currently a seasonal only position, teaching full day camp programs during the summer.¨¨

The current summer schedule is as follows, with each camp being 9am-4pm Mon-Fri:

June 17th-21st- Teaching in Vail

June 24th-28th- Teaching in Frisco

July 15th-19th- Teaching in Fraser (PW will pay for 5 nights lodging and per diem for food)

July 22nd-26th- Teaching in Frisco

August 5th-9th- Teaching in Frisco

There is opportunity for more work in Summit County with workshops

There will be paid training for the 2-3 weeks beforehand that consists of online interactive calls, homework, and coming to Denver 1-3 times to see running Play-Well classes in action.

We also lead daily after-school enrichment programs and weekend birthday parties throughout the school year in other areas of Colorado, and this position may have the opportunity to grow into year-round part-time work in Fall/Winter 2019 school year for the right candidate.

Buckle up - this is hard work! Lugging 40 pound totes in and out of your car, leading excited kids through challenging projects, managing classroom conflicts, cleaning up all that LEGO® - this will be the toughest job you'll ever love!

REQUIREMENTS

Open summer schedule: available full weekdays during minimum of 5 weeks during summer (as listed above). Available for part-time training 2-3 weeks prior to summer camp start.

Experience and passion teaching K-8 students in a classroom or summer camp setting.

We are looking for someone with a love for teaching kids STEM and a LEGO enthusiasts! Interest in Harry Potter and/or Minecraft is a plus!

Must have a reliable vehicle to transport teaching materials and commute to teaching sites, as well as travel to Denver/Boulder area for in-class training in early June.

Secure place to store Play-Well teaching kit.

Pre-employment background check is required.

COMPENSATION:

This is a part-time hourly position, 20 - 40 hours/week (5 - 10 hours/week during training).

Training rate: $15.50/hour

Regular rate: $17.50/hour

Compensation includes drive time, setup and instruction hours

We highly value our teaching staff, and pay for time spent driving to a site that's farther than 30 minutes away.

Play-Well pays a minimum of 3 hours per daily class session

Paid drive time over 1 hour round trip/day
