Elways Steakhouse is one of Vails premier dining destination. We have an immediate opening for a Lead Chef/Kitchen Manager. This year round/full time position leads all kitchen/BOH functions to ensure efficiency and food standards. We offer a competitive salary and benefits (including ski pass).
Responsibilities:
Manage all kitchen production big picture and shift by shift
Monitor and control food costs and labor
Maintain high-quality food standard
Create a clean, organized and safe work environment
Manages kitchen organization, staff ability, and training opportunities
Ensures a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance
Health code compliance
Excellent communication skills with all levels of employees
Experience:
2 years experience managing a high volume kitchen
Inventory, purchasing, food costs management
Waste management, cost reduction
Bilingual a plus
Ability to handle stressful situations (volume) with a respectful management style
