Maintenance Technician is responsible for general property cleaning, repair and maintenance. The work day starts at 6:00 a.m. Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Trash Removal (on street containers and staging dumpsters) This may include climbing into the dumpsters to consolidate trash.
Snow removal (shoveling and ATV plowing) May include overtime
Light bulb replacement
Sweeping
Painting
Lawn mowing and trimming
Shrub and flower bed maintenance
Sprinkler system maintenance and repair
Pet waste pick-up and disposal
Watering and maintenance of potted flower
Parking Patrol
Specific Skills and Knowledge
Use a variety of hand tools
Operate a forklift
Drive ATV
Drive ATV snowplow
Operate street sweeper
Physical Requirements
Lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Prolonged standing, bending, kneeling
Climbing stairs
Climbing ladders
Working outside in variable weather conditions, including snow
Work under stressful conditions
Other Requirements
Must read and speak English
Cell Phones must be left in the office while working. May be used on breaks and lunch time.
Must communicate effectively with Chief Engineer, and other Maintenance Technicians
Must deal politely with property owners, tenants, staff and customers
Overtime may be required
