Duties include:
- Inspect and evaluate systems, machines, and equipment, including:
- Heating, cooling, and ventilation systems
- Plumbing and electrical systems
- Identify potential issues and ensure proper functioning of all systems
- Troubleshoot problems using available materials and research for effective solutions
- Recommend updates to enhance effectiveness, economy, or guest experience
- Communicate with management and front desk staff regarding major repairs and subcontractor work
- Oversee special projects, supervise staff and subcontractors
- Ensure maintenance of work, guest areas, and equipment for appearance, functionality, and safety
- Perform routine tasks, including:
- Preventive maintenance on boilers
- Annual unit checks
- Upkeep of accommodations and association buildings
- Manage pool, hot tubs, steam room, and sauna operations
- Assist with snow removal and landscaping
- Handle department operations, including:
- Budgets
- HR functions
- Compliance with building codes and safety regulations
- Process work orders, manage inventory, and evaluate staff performance
- Foster a culture of teamwork with regular one-on-one meetings and scheduling
Location: St. James Place - Beaver Creek, CO.
Start Date: 9/3/2024
Employment Type: Full Time, Year Round.
Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000 annually, depending on experience; $5,000 sign on bonus (1/2 paid after 3 months of work; 1/2 paid after 6 months of work)
Schedule: 5 days per week, including Saturdays, on-call availability required and some holidays
Minimum Requirements
Successful candidates will have a solid understanding of engineering principles applicable to facilities maintenance, enabling them to effectively manage and troubleshoot building systems. They should possess strong analytical skills to evaluate systems and structures, identify potential issues, and make informed recommendations. Additionally, self-motivation is crucial, as they need to independently identify problems and develop solutions without constant supervision. They will also be adept at inspecting and evaluating systems, machines, tools, and equipment-such as heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems-to ensure they are functioning properly or to identify potential issues. They will be able to make informed recommendations for changes or updates to enhance effectiveness, economy, or guest experience. Their skills will include performing routine preventive maintenance, handling installations for special projects, and identifying and responding to necessary repairs. They will troubleshoot problems using available materials and independent research to find the best repair or replacement solutions. Effective communication with management, the Director of Engineering, and engineering staff about issues and project statuses will be crucial.
