Looking for experienced welder fabricator installer for long term employment. We are located in Buena Vista and perform work typically within a 1 hour travel radius of town. We fabricate and install structural steel, stairs, railings, and other decorative steel, aluminum, and stainless steel items. We are busy and have work lined up for at least the next 4-6 months.
Pay; $25.00 to $35.00 per hour. Quarterly bonus based on company profits after 1 year employment. We are looking for someone that can take charge and lead; an independent hard worker that will do the right thing for the company and the customer when no one is looking. You will be expected to understand what we are doing, and work throughout the day with minimum supervision. We pay biweekly.
Must haves:
Certified 3g and 4g stick welding. (you will need to pass the test again)
Valid driver’s license
Most of our time is spent at the shop in Buena Vista. Several days a week you will be expected to drive to the job site and do what is necessary for success for our customers. You may need to work late or early. Normal schedule for now (3) 10's, Tuesday-Thursday 8am-6:30pm with occasional Fridays needed. You will be incharge of the jobsite for our work most of the time, including utilizing helpers or other individuals sent to help you.
At the shop in Avon you will be fabricating the items you will install at the jobsite. It is expected that you will have your own small tools including welding hood, squares, chipping hammer, other necessary tools. If you have experience with CAD programs there is also office work to be picked up.
Must be able to cut with a torch or plasma cutter. We utilize stick, mig, and tig welding on a regular basis. If you aren't proficient in all of these processes we will get you there.
Must show up on time everyday (8:00AM) to the shop. If we are going to a jobsite you will be expected to start earlier. If you don’t have a good enough driver’s license to drive our truck you will be expected to bring your own truck. Lunch will not be paid. You will be paid for (2) 15min breaks each day. It is expected that you will work through lunch while on the jobsite, as our work time rarely exceeds 8 hours on the job. You can take lunch right when we decide to stop for the day.
