Job Description

Equal parts visionary, strategist, orchestrator, and mentor, the Creative Director shapes & oversees our company-wide standard in design, marketing, and experience excellence. Through a comprehensive understanding of brand, global trends, art, and the consumer journey, the Creative Director leads a team of creatives across asset categories to achieve our vision and standards. The Creative Director reports to the Chief Brand Officer and also works closely with our owners to ensure that brand manifestations across digital, print, retail, apparel, experiential and more achieve our expectations and potential.

Essential Job Functions

  • Leads brand vision, innovation, and cohesion across visual, digital, physical, messaging, campaign, social, visual merchandising.
  • Collaborates with ownership and executives in implementing brand moments, messages, and visuals.
  • Leads design, social, retail, product, photo, video, and operations team members and executions.
  • Identifies and activates on opportunities to build brand culture and awareness internally & externally.
  • Manages and collaborates with outside agencies, creatives, motion, and photography teams for inspired and considered brand moments.
  • Content channel strategy and oversight.
  • Art direction.
  • Art in Unexpected Places execution, which is our in-house commitment to accessible, world-class art installations
  • In-resort creative leadership in lodge design, ski trail branding, way-finding/branded signage, retail visual merchandising, restaurant design, and more.
  • ESPN X Games and other marquis event design and asset placement
  • Creative direction of our Aspen Snowmass branded clothing collection


  • College degree required.
  • Advance degree preferred.
  • Design background required.
  • 15+ years of experience managing integrated creative teams.
  • 15+ years of experience managing external agencies and creative talent.
  • 15+ years of experience leading campaigns and advertising.
  • Previous experience as Creative Director at an agency or top brand.
  • Passion for outdoor sports preferred.
