Job Description

As a key member of our lean startup team, you will be responsible for creating our channel sales and marketing engine. You are a team of one so your ability to get in and get it done is key to your success. As we grow, so will your team and you’ll step into a player-coach role to nurture and mentor each new member to wild success. You probably started your career with a blue-chip products company but found yourself drawn to the allure of the startup. Some of the stuff you’ll be working on

  • Working directly with the CEO to develop and implement the sales channels – strategic plans, sales goals, and priority in order to maximize our market opportunities
  • Helping create, implement, and manage our digital marketing program to drive traffic and sales through all our eCommerce channels
  • Managing executive-level relationships with brokers and distributor networks throughout the US and internationally
  • Negotiating contracts with big box retailers for prime shelf space and promotions
  • Facilitating the entire sales process, establishing high-quality planning, forecasting, and budgeting procedures– you’re a team of one today so you can get it just right!
  • Building a team and providing leadership to internal and channel sales teams – the team grows as the business grows
  • Leading our marketing efforts at trade shows and other events

Qualifications

What we think you’ll need to have

  • Undergraduate degree in a business discipline
  • 10+ years of consumer product sales experience with recent experience working in the startup ecosystem
  • Experience managing sales teams, brokers, distributors, and channel partners
  • Successful track record of launching new products and driving revenue through multiple channels
  • Demonstrated experience with eCommerce direct, Amazon Web Store, and other shopping sites
  • Fiercely competitive, courageous, and creative – just because it hasn’t been done doesn’t mean it can’t be done
  • Exceptional personal, written, and presentation skills with executive presence – authentic, respectful, and professional
  • Comfortable traveling in the US up to 25%
