Job Description

Job Duties (Description of specific duties in a typical workday for this position:

Primary responsibilities

System Administrator
Ensure the highest level of system availability for the end-users
Install system updates and patches monthly
Conduct system monitoring
Perform weekly system backups and maintain all backups
Update the system software and hardware as needed
Configure the OS and VM for optimal performance
Implement scripts for automation and optimization
Monitor COTS tools, OS versions and end of life (EOL) support to ensure upgrades are planned and done before ahead of EOL
Research and Innovation
Continuously research tools and techniques used in the industry and the DoD to enhance system situational awareness, system performance monitoring
Continuously enhances skills with industry tools and techniques to enhance mission support and effectiveness

Secondary responsibilities

Database Administration
Perform weekly database backups
Perform database queries
Assist team with database configuration and optimization
Help Desk Support
Troubleshooting system issues
Work with external gr
System Testing
Conduct regression testing to support the deployment of software maintenance actions and project sustainment support.
Task Order Management – Optional – Trillion decide if they want to embed in PD or do remotely
Ensure timely delivery of CDRLs.
Ensure milestones are met and contract requirements are fulfilled
Meet with the customer when needed
Interface with the customer for comments, concerns and changes

Qualifications

Requirements (Years of experience, Education, Certifications):

Bachelor’s Degree in IT related field
5 years of IT System Administration experience with the following technologies:
MS Windows 2016 environment
VMWare VCenter Version 6
MS SQL Server 2016
IIS 10.0
Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python,
Experience with Network and DNS configuration
Minimum IAT Level II certifications as defined in DoD 8570-10-M such as Security+, CySA+, CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CCNP Security, CISSP
Ability to quickly learn new software and hardware
Excellent communication skills
US Citizenship
Active Secret security clearance

Nice to Have: (skills that are not required, but nice to have):

Experience with administering system in the Cloud AWS or Azure
Experience with deployment orchestration technologies such as Chef, Jenkins, Containers, Kubernetes
Experience migrating application to the Cloud
Knowledge and experience with DoD DevSecOps Initiatives
This is a full time position paying a base salary, full benefits, and has possible bonus potential based on merit and performance.
