Help Wanted: Cattle Operations Pen / Pasture Rider

Position: Full-Time Pasture Rider
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pen / Pasture Rider to join our cattle
operations team. The ideal candidate will have strong feedlot and cattle health management
experience, along with solid horseback and doctoring skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Ride pastures daily to observe cattle health, behavior, and movement
Identify and pull sick or injured cattle for treatment
Administer appropriate treatments and follow animal health protocols
Monitor water, grass conditions, and overall animal well-being
Move and handle cattle horseback using low-stress stockmanship
Communicate effectively with the management and feed teams
Maintain accurate records and assist with pasture data tracking
Qualifications & Required Experience:
Prior feedlot experience is required
Cattle doctoring experience and solid understanding of animal health protocols
Strong horseback experience and skill in handling cattle horseback
Proven ability to identify early signs of illness or stress
Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of animal husbandry, grazing management, and low-stress cattle handling
Familiarity with recordkeeping systems and livestock health software
