US Medical Integration Solutions (USM-IS) seeks an individual to drive the development of simple, modern, and composable cloud-first solutions across an extensive portfolio of integrated business products. This role is directly responsible for working within a team of developers to deliver integration solutions in support of portfolio initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess a full-stack engineering mindset with a passion for excelling in all areas of the software delivery life cycle such as analysis, design, development, automated testing, DevOps, etc.The job profile for this position is an Engineering Advisor.The Infrastructure & Automation engineering team is focused on improving the stages within the Software Development Life Cycle so a product can be delivered to market faster, safer, and reliably. The Infrastructure & Automation engineer will focus on work within Provider Manage Finance Experience Group to cultivate DevOps practices and implement automation tools. The engineer will work closely with other delivery, engineering, and operational teams throughout the iterative development cycle.Key Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining automation/deployment tools using industry standard technology
  • Building and maintaining infrastructure for many assets across different coding languages
  • Establish and promote Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) DevOps Engineering best practices
  • Troubleshoots and proceeds on resolving infrastructure compatibility issues based on system architecture, project requirements, customer expectations, etc.
  • Supports the design, analysis, development and implementation of engineering infrastructure solutions of projects and/or work requests for complex business solutions
  • Support code and database deployments for all SDLC environments
  • Update and design new procedures as needed to optimize performance
  • Automate operational processes as needed, with accuracy and in compliance with security requirements
  • Specifying, documenting and developing new product features, and writing automation scripts so that others may learn and utilize the functionality
  • Work with open-source technologies as needed, with an ability to learn new tools quickly
  • Work with CI/CD and source control tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, Udeploy, and GIT
  • Ability to execute tests to monitor nonfunctional attributes of an application such as Performance, Scalability, Resiliency, Data loss, Idempotency and total throughput.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies across the Agile release train to produce results conducive to company interests
  • Provide technical support where needed
  • Stay current with industry trends and source new ways for our business to improve

Required Experience/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree preferred with 5+ years of relevant work experience in software development or software engineering
  • At least 3 years experience working within DevOps principles
  • Hands-on experience with supporting core infrastructure technology like RHEL operating systems; containers such as ECS, EKS; platforms such as Openshift, Ansible, AWS; and databases such as Oracle and NOSQL
  • Solid understanding of object orientated languages such as JAVA and Python
  • Experience using web services and APIs
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using technologies such as Jenkins, Terraform, Gitflow, CI, etc.

Desired Experience/Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related discipline with at least 5+ years of recent experience deploying, and supporting computing applications in a large-scale, midrange and distributed environment
  • Hands-on programming experience using relevant languages, such as Java. Ansible and Python development experience is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with creating benchmark tests, designing for scalability and performance, and designing/integrating large-scale systems
  • Familiarity with building cloud native applications, knowledge on cloud providers and services such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS and Docker containers
  • Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills, as well as attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to know your audience and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to change course based on business and infrastructure needs as well as effectively manage and deal with the fast changes
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Minimal travel will be required
