Position Description
CGI is seeking a Scrum Master with strong experience with modern software engineering practices (Continuous Integration, Specification by Example, Behavior / Test Driven Development - BDD, TDD) and respective tools, to become a part of a dynamic team supporting premier clients in the Healthcare and Insurance industries.

Role can be performed from Bloomfield, CT, New York, NY, Lafayette, LA, Denver, CO, Philadelphia, PA, Chattanooga, TN, or Raleigh, NC.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Utilize experience with modern software engineering practices (Continuous Integration, Specification by Example, Behavior / Test Driven Development - BDD, TDD) and respective tools.

Work diligently to meet project deadlines.

Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.

Guiding the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values and focus on optimizing performance and operations of team.

Enabling the team with self-organization capability; assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization.

Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.

Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example.

Review and facilitate prioritization work calls with team, PO and PM.

Facilitates PI Planning prep and co-ordination between teams.

Handle alongside the PO intake requests, funding and agreeing timelines.

Create Project Migration plans (where required).

Review capacity and assess talent/needs within the team.

Provide Senior leader reports and status as and when required (Deep Dives etc.).

Influence and drive teams to success using Agile/Scrum/Lean Practices.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Must be a highly technical and hands-on.

Must have at least 5 years of experience with JIRA.

Agile and SDLC experience - at least 6 years.

Excellent communication and mentoring skills.

Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least 6 years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles practices, and theory.

First level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I)

Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing clarity.

Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required
Second level Scrum Master certification (CSP, PSM II).

Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, etc.

Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.

Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team.

Experience applying a wide variety of well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous burn-down techniques, numerous retrospective formats, handling bugs etc.).

Previous experience as a team lead.

Est. Salary Range (Colorado Only): $78,000-$100,000
