This position reports directly to the Vice President of Facilities. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma is required; college degree in related field is preferred. A minimum of seven (7) years progressively responsible experience in Facilities Management with five years experience in a lead or supervisory capacity. Facilities management experience in a school setting preferred. Demonstrated knowledge in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems is required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides direct supervision of cleaning and maintenance staff.
Effectively manages maintenance work requests by prioritizing and assigning tasks to maintenance staff as they are received.
Coordinates required inspections (fire, health, etc) with local officials ensuring compliance with all applicable building codes and Joint Commission regulations.
Conducts monthly Environmental Rounds, prepares reports, and distributes.
Identifies immediate health and safety issues, implement corrective measures.
Processes all maintenance invoices, verify for accuracy, correct errors, and codes with proper accounting string.
Negotiates vendor contracts (landscaping, plowing, alarm monitoring, etc).
Prepares all janitorial supply orders and manages distribution of supplies.
Manages the tracking, distribution, and collection of all agency office keys.
Acts as primary contact for all after hour building emergencies.
Assists VP of Facilities with implementation of capital projects.
Actively participates in agency-wide Health and Safety Committee meetings. Presents findings as safety officer.
Supervises maintenance staff during snow removal duties. Provides assistance with plowing.
Continues to develop knowledge and understanding about the history, traditions, values, family systems, and artistic expression of groups served as well as uses appropriate methodological approaches, skills, and techniques that reflect an understanding of culture.
