Western Express is currently looking for a Service Writer at our Maintenance Facility in Plainfield, CT. First shift, Wednesday - Saturday 7:00 am - 5:30 pm. Experience as a service writer is a must, any AS400 experience is a plus. This is a customer service position, with our drivers and technicians as our customer. Must be polite, courteous and professional.
Job Description:
- Processing tractor write-ups from drivers
- Managing workload in the shop
- Handing out work orders to technicians
- Updating our Operations department and drivers on equipment repair status
