Deep knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data privacy compliance principles.

Knowledge of data governance and data management concepts, approaches, tools in the successful implementation of data strategy

Leveraging expertise to implement and configure Data Catalog tools (e.g. Alation, Collibra & Informatica Axon)

Strong data management skills

Provide advisory and thought leadership on the implementation of Data Catalog solution with Alation leveraging On-Premise and Cloud based platforms for the enterprise

Designing end to end workflows, Metrics Key KPI’s and dashboards in Data Catalog Tools

Identifying and partnering with Infrastructure teams and AD teams to implement automation opportunities to drive down toil and reduce technical debt

Function as a subject matter expert (SME) for data management best practices, including data definitions and taxonomies, metadata management of critical data assets, business data flows, technical data lineage, sensitive data discovery, and data privacy compliance

Design Data Catalog tools as a data governance platform to comply with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act) regulations

Experience in Data Governance of wide variety of data types (structured, semi-structured and unstructured data) and wide variety of data sources (HDFS, S3, Kafka, Cassandra, Hive, HBase, Elasticsearch)

2-4 years of sound experience with data management tools such as Alation , Collibra, Informatica AXON & Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog,

5+ years’ experience with Architecting, designing and Developing ETL and Data solutions

Experience with high-scale or distributed RDBMS (Teradata, Netezza, Greenplum, Aster Data, DB2, Oracle)

Experience with data visualization tools and reporting software (e.g. Qlik, Microstrategy, Cognos, Power BI etc.)

Agile project management experience, including use of agile project management tools (i.e. JIRA, Git, etc.)

Experience with planning and executing multi-year road-maps with the ability to solve complex business problems and present recommendations to senior management effectively

Expertise in working in partnership with colleagues throughout the firm, and in leading collaborative teams to achieve common goals: ability to build relationships across business groups and technology organizations

Must have excellent written, presentation, interpersonal, relationship and negotiating skills

Advanced IT process improvement, and problem-solving skills

Comfortable presenting to senior management
