Mainframe Platform – Printing / Output Management Applications and System Support Summary: Systems Engineer / Sr Analyst position resides in AIS AD Correspondence. The focus is software product technical support for enterprise Output Management, online view and document automation tools. Mainframe system Print architecture, print and electronic formats.
Maintaining software currency and applying corrective maintenance, new software installation, customization, and rollout, working with software vendors to resolve problems and influence product enhancements.
Work closely with Output Management Services Developers and Engineering teammates, and areas teams across AIS to provide solutions that meet business enhancement and project deliverables.
Work with tools and methodology associated with output management and experience with supporting software running on UNIX, Microsoft, and Mainframe platforms.
Support multiple software products and can handle changing priorities.
Have proven ability to be flexible and work with aggressive project plans and tight timelines.
Position requires working occasional off hours in support of production platform availability and electronic document delivery.
Ability to work in a fast-paced service orientated environment.
Information Systems background:
Experience with UNIX, Microsoft, and Mainframe platforms
Operational and software engineering knowledge of the z/OS environment
Exposure to web application support and understanding of application server infrastructures
Experienced with supporting vendor software
Experience with system and technology product integration
Familiar with mainframe system print architecture and connectivity, e-mail technologies
Familiar with high-speed system print.
Knowledge of print and electronic output formats: AFP, AFPDS, LCDS – Xerox, PDF, PostScript, HTML
Knowledge of output management software products.
Experience with ASG-Mobius and/or Rocket Enterprise Output Solutions software a plus.
