We are looking for individuals with a range of skills and interest in large-scale clean energy demonstration projects, particularly in renewable systems, carbon capture and removal, hydrogen, and nuclear energy technologies.Mid-Level Project Management SMEs have strong project management experience. They will be assigned to large projects. Their role is to provide expertise to support the Federal Project Manager to organize, plan, and oversee all aspects of a project from beginning to end. Mid-Level Project Management SMEs will Communicate with partners to identify and define project requirements and objectives. Develop project plans to include information such as objectives, funding, schedules, and staff. Mid-Level Project Management SMEs will Identify, review, and select vendors and/or consultants to meet project needs. Assign duties and/or responsibilities to project staff, confers with project staff to identify and resolve problems. Monitor project costs to stay within budget. Monitor project milestones and deliverables. Propose, review, and approve modifications to project plans. Produce and distribute project documents.REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of related experience or a master’s degree and 5 years of related experience.
Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.
Clean Energy experience desired but not required.
Remote position on eastern time zone.
Experience in DOE environment is preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. Work is mostly sedentary in nature but will require periodic standing and walking and lifting. Must have good vision and be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
